When are applications due?

The priority application deadline is March 1.  However, we offer rolling admissions and we continue to take applications after March 1 on a space available basis.  We strongly encourage families to apply early and submit supporting documents, such as transcripts and references, to the school.

What age must students be to begin kindergarten?

TCCS follows the California State Law regarding kindergarten start age.  Students must be 5 years on or before September 1st of the year they wish to enter kindergarten.  For students who do not meet the age requirement, we do offer a Transitional Kindergarten program.  Please contact the admissions department for more information.

What is TCCS’s student to teacher ratio?

TCCS strives to keep small class sizes because they allow teachers to give students individual attention and to employ differentiated learning strategies that will help students reach their full potential. The current student/teacher ratio is 19:1.

Kindergarten through sixth grade: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:45 PM

Is there a dress code?

TCCS is a uniform school using Lands’ End as our uniform provider.  All students are required to purchase and wear a uniform each day.  Uniforms enhance the environment by creating an atmosphere of learning and professionalism.  Further, uniforms increase campus security by allowing faculty and staff to instantly recognize those who are not enrolled in school.

Does TCCS offer tuition assistance?

Yes, tuition assistance is available and all students entering K-12 may apply. Financial aid is based solely on demonstrated need.  Applying for aid does not guarantee that assistance will be offered.

How do I apply for tuition assistance?

TCCS uses TADS, an online financial assessment company, to screen applicants for tuition assistance.  Parents must complete an application online through TADS (www.mytads.com).  All applications for financial aid will be considered.  However, decisions will be made based on financial need as determined by TADS.

For more information, please contact the TCCS business office at (760) 630-8227.

What is TCCS’s Wait Pool policy?

If no spots are available for a qualified applicant, the applicant will be placed in a wait pool.  Wait pools are not prioritized wait lists. If an opening becomes available, the admissions committee will select the most appropriate candidate.

TCCS reserves the right to give priority consideration to qualified sibling and alumni child applicants.
