Performing & Visual Arts

"A well-rounded education involves exposure and opportunities in the areas of fine and performing arts."

As God is the author of creativity and beauty, students at TCCS discover and express their God-given talents in the area music, drama, art, and digital media.

Personal expression, creative thinking, imaginative communication, and intellectual curiosity are all outcomes leading students to experience a greater appreciation of God’s majestic creation.

Music

  • Each classroom has music instruction weekly with a trained music teacher.
  • Exposure to various musical instruments from around the world, note-reading instruction, recorder playing, and 4th, 5th and 6th grade choir provides students with valuable musical instruction.

Art

  • Visual art instruction takes place in each classroom throughout the curriculum.
  • An annual Art Fair in the spring allows students to showcase their creative talents.

Performing Arts

In addition, students participate in local and regional competitions in Math Olympics, Art Festival, Speech Meet and Writing contests through ACSI. A rich Performing Arts program is evident through the many grade level and school productions showcased during the year. There are many opportunities for students to exercise expression of their God-given talents at TCCS!

Our students in kindergarten through 6th grade are provided the opportunity to have a weekly music/performing arts class along with many opportunities to perform at school-wide programs and evening events for parents, grandparents, and friends. Grandparent’s Day, Veterans Day, and grade level programs, are just a few of the many spectacular performing arts productions that honor and inspire our guests to see the value of a Christ-centered education.
